I got the new Note 4 S-View cover direct from Samsung using their promo. It wasn't until it was delivered until I caught wind of previous owners of the Note 3 S-View saying their oleophobic coating rubbing off / scratching on their actual screen. This would prompt me to immediately grab a tempered glass screen protector, though I bought this to avoid that, but the 2.5D screens don't properly apply at this point.

I do feel like this S-View case was made differently. The protective screen doesn't seem to tough my phone's screen. It's also thicker and protects the back camera as well. Should I be worried?

I had one for the sy and works fine bnt Skipped it on the Note 3 because of the posts about it

My s view cover is just fine. I put a liquid screen protector on it I have no problems.

I use the S-View on my Note 4 as well and have not had any issues. Used for for 3-4 days without a glass protector and now I use a glass protector.

I thought about doing that with the note 3 but came to the conclusion I hate screen protectors. Only ones I would try are glass.

It's very good. It is actually water resistant and very slick. I like it. I usually get a screen protector and an Otterbox-esque case ASAP when getting a new phone but this is the least coverage and I like it.

I've never tried a liquid screen protector. Does it lose some of the intended tactile feel of the note 4 screen when using the s-pen?

Nope its just kinda slick but fingerprints rub off with a breeze.

Looks like it is good for reducing fingerprints and protecting against light liquid splashes. My concern would be that it offers no scratch protection only abrasion protection.

True. Idk how good it is but I'd rather not have the halo problem. With the s view I don't have to worry much about scratches since it's always covered.

I also have the Samsung s-view. It looks really nice but it won't protect your note 4 from a good drop. I'll return it and use the crystal clear case.

I am thoroughly impressed by the S View case. When looking at cases I wasn't planning on getting it but I took it out of the package just to check it out. The quality is much better than previous generations. I love the fit and finish. It's also very easy to use folded back.

Everything seems to be an improvement except for one glaring exception: no quick s-note. Why, oh why, would they remove that from the window?!
