S View Screen Temperature Not Updating

I have had my S View cover for several weeks and the screen that shows the temperature through the window has not updated the temperature in weeks. It has consistently said 38 degrees. Does anyone know if there is a way to refresh this or get it to refresh the temperature? Also, does anyone know where this is pulling this data from?

It gets it from your Accuweather.com widget. Go into the widget and change tthe refresh setting.

That can't be possible, I don't have it installed. I just did a search for it and looked in the apps and widgets and it's not there.

Maybe that's why it isn't working.

Did you change the settings? Why did you have to install it? It came stock in your phone. Are you sure you are using the right one?


Yeah, I just looked it up and you are using the wrong one. Use the stock weather widget and go into the settings.

So it isn't the AccuWeather one then? the default one is set to refresh every hour. it updated once today. at least it doesn't say 38 degrees, now it says 54 degrees.

There are 4 Accuweather widgets. One is stock on your phone and the other three you get when you download the aftermarket Accuweather app. Make sure you use the stock one on one of your screens. If you aren't using the widget the your temperature won't update.

The widget even says the last time it updated.

The widget on my phone is set to update every hour, yet on the S-Viewer window it has been stuck on the same 31 F for 2 months now!
Any other ideas?

I've noticed if my GPS is turned off the weather on the lock screen never changes.
