New to Samsung device and was wondering who uses S Voice over Google Voice and why.?

Posted via the Android Central App

S Voice takes ages to process what I say. In comparison Google voice takes only a few secs. My take, S Voice sucks and needs immediate update from Samsung.

Agree also, S Voice is terrible! I use Google Now quite often. You can give S Voice a try and see if you like it, but my experience is, it is unreliable.

Google Now is very accurate.

I think the only time I would use S Voice would be if I had a Gear Watch. For now I use Google via my LG Urbane Watch 2nd Edition.

I only use Google Now, far superior in terms of accuracy and speed. It's also intuitive in understanding context for me anyway, as I have everything activated and linked to my Google account, so I get very relevant responses when I use it

I recently upgraded to Galaxy S7 with S Voice installed and I have encountered 2 major flaws with S Voice.
1: S Voice doesn't see any of my see my phone contacts. The initial contacts were imported from my gmail account I thought that might be the problem, So I did a phone reset and did a transfer of contacts from my Galaxy S5 and still get the same response " Can not find that name in the Contacts"

2: the "S Voice" voice assist interface is not very secure my wife was able to engage "S Voice" after a few attempts of repeating my secret code,
On the other hand my wife has a iphone 6 plus which uses siri voice assist, the default access is "Hey Siri!" only her voice can activate Siri, I tried several times with no success, their voice recognition software is far superior to "S Voice" Samsung Step up your Game!!!

I'm using a note 5 and have "knucklehead " my name for S Voice which is quite apropos.I'm telling you it's technically challenged! Love the phone but until s voice catches up with the others it's frustration. If any one could tell me how Google is I would appreciate it. Being a knucklehead myself I'm afraid that Google voice,1/ you have use the now cards, and 2 /it updates it's self.Silly I know.
I tried Dragon but it was a bit overwhelming so back to s voice,if this isn't the place to ask,my bad..Thank you..

I tried to give it a shot, but it responds maybe 50% of the time, I deactivated it and use Okay Google.

The only downside to Okay Google is you can't use it to turn on your phone anymore, you have to us Svoice for that function. From what I've read, Okay Google will only turn it on if it is charging, otherwise the phone must already be on.

Google Voice has been in the voice recognition game much longer and it shows. For the most part, it just works and works well.
