S10 5G

Has anyone seen an alcantara case for the S10 5G???? I've had this type case for my last 4 phones and love them - but it seems Samsung is barely supporting this phone - very strange!!!!
It's a $1,300 phone tied to only 1 carrier here in the states with 5G that's EXTREMELY lacking. I wouldn't expect Samsung to sell many here. Could be reason for lack of support.

It will be coming out for the rest of them soon. AT&T and Sprint, definitely, T-Mobile, maybe. And that is probably when the support will increase, depending on how close we are to the Note 10 release.

But it’s not just a US Verizon release.....its a global phone, already out in South Korea and other areas - yet Samsung has just 1 case on their website. Weird.

So these are my 4G LTE speeds near the Empire State Building with the S10 5G. The first 6 of them. Screenshot_20190520-170407_Speedtest.jpeg

Can anyone else who has the phone confirm that NextRadio says that FM isn't enabled? Just wondering if it is my phone or something we all should push Verizon on since I believe the S10 and S10+ supports it. Just curious why it would be disabled since every verizon Samsung phone I have had since the Note 4 has supported it

I looked at an S105G today at VZW. I liked that the screen is almost flat compared to past models. I hope this indicates a trend back to flat screens. What I didn't like was the screen ratio. It is longer than my Note9 yet NARROWER. Soon cell phones will be shaped like rulers. It's crazy. Everything I stream is 16/9. I hate the skinny ratio.

I just tried out the application and received the same message. Looks like it's not going to work.

I don't think this is right. I no longer have my Note 9 to compare them myself but the dimensions on the web indicate the 5G is .03 inches taller and .03 inches wider. In other words, it's virtually identical in both dimensions but has a larger screen (by .3 inches).

I do however agree with you in missing wider phones....

I held it right next to it. My screen was wider. I don't know why specs don't reflect that.

Although it is definitely wider than my s8 plus. I passed that one to my wife and the difference is amazing. The S8 plus seems really narrow now compared to the S10 5g.

I have the Note 9 and S10 5G next to each other and the S10 5G screen is notable WIDER. I was used to the Note 9 and immediately noticed this when I got the S10 5G.

Note 9 is 18.5 over 9 ratio. 5g is 19 over 9. This means it is relatively more narrow albeit slightly also ...according to Samsung web page Galaxy S10 5G’s screen size is 6.7” in the full rectangle. Actual viewable area is 6.5” due to rounded corners and camera hole.

So 5g is 6.5 inch screen vs Note 9 6.4 inch screen with no hole nor notch

tried a few "night mode" shots for the first time with my brand new S10 5G, I think they are truly awesome. You have to hold the phone still for a few seconds and even I hold it with my hand with no other support there was no blurry picture. This sample is not edited other then resized:

You should try Google Camera with NightSight mode, that gave me more clear and stunning pic than Samsung camera app.

Sorry I was lazy for post pic , I installed GCam apk ( from XDA ) on my S10 5G , and the pic from GCam more clear and nice .

It really feels like Verizon doesn't have any accessories for this phone. Went to two Verizon stores today looking for a screen protector. No dice. Anyone having similar issues?

Doesn't it come with one? Samsung has been putting them on these phones now because of the in-screen fingerprint readers...
