s10+ back camera replacement not working

[Android Central Question]

Help. I have a back camera on my S10 plus that I replaced because it was damaged. (it no longer will focus properly.) When I put the replacement camera in and go to test it, I get the message "camera failed". Thinking it was a bad camera, I ordered two more and got the same message on both. I am thinking it is a firmware issue but I really am not sure. Again, the original still works, it just will not focus correctly anymore.

Any thoughts on a solution would be most helpful.

You did the replacement? Have you tried in safe mode? If still same in safe mode something got damaged.

Welcome to Android Central! Unless you're a qualified cellphone technician, I'd focus more on your repair job rather than the firmware. Are you certain everything was connected correctly, and nothing got damaged or disrupted when you opened up the phone?

I would bring it into a repair shop and let them troubleshoot it.
