S10 vs S20 fingerprint sensor face-off?

I doubt fingerprint sensor tests were a top priority for initial news. Those will likely come when mostly everything else has been said or it turns out there are 'issues'.

Is it the same sensor? I know qualcomm has a new version but I don't think it came out in time for Samsung to implement.

I believe the fps area is suppose to be twice as large as first Gen that is suppose to translate to faster and more accurate reading?

so they moved the sensor. seems like it is something different with the fingerprint scan with every new phone. once you get used to one way, they change it ;-)

My question is, how is the face unlock on the S10? I know it's not as secure but is it good and reliable and consistent?

Jon Rettinger mentioned in his hands on that it's much improved over the S10 line. Whether that's just software or not doesn't matter that much.

Dont know but my S10+ and Note10+ work quite well and I use the Whitestone Dome.

I tried it once and got a notification telling me to keep that fat, ugly mug away from the screen :-) seriously, though I don't have the s10 but the note 10+ I found the face unlock to be extremely reliable. In fact sometimes too reliable when it actually unlocks by just picking the phone up to place in my pocket. I would say it would be the same for the s10 since they are almost the same phone.
