I doubt fingerprint sensor tests were a top priority for initial news. Those will likely come when mostly everything else has been said or it turns out there are 'issues'.

I read it is the same sensor, but improved placement and hopefully improved software.

I believe the fps area is suppose to be twice as large as first Gen that is suppose to translate to faster and more accurate reading?

so they moved the sensor. seems like it is something different with the fingerprint scan with every new phone. once you get used to one way, they change it ;-)

It works for me just fine. I tried to fool it with a photo but was unsuccessful.

Jon Rettinger mentioned in his hands on that it's much improved over the S10 line. Whether that's just software or not doesn't matter that much.

Dont know but my S10+ and Note10+ work quite well and I use the Whitestone Dome.

I don't have any complaints with my Note 10+ either. I didn't have the S10 series so I have nothing to compare it to.

I tried it once and got a notification telling me to keep that fat, ugly mug away from the screen seriously, though I don't have the s10 but the note 10+ I found the face unlock to be extremely reliable. In fact sometimes too reliable when it actually unlocks by just picking the phone up to place in my pocket. I would say it would be the same for the s10 since they are almost the same phone.
