I really wanted to like the S10e. Hardware was great, size was great and even the software was great. But for some reason, it didn't spark joy for me. As Marie Kondo said, if it doesn't spark joy, then... Well, I replaced it with a LG G7 and for some reason, this did spark joy. There was two features that I really missed from an LG phone, double tap to wake/lock and infinite home screen loop/scrolling. I think I'm just too used to LG phones. Samsung did a great job with the S10 series, but it just wasn't for me. The G7 has been a pleasant surprise. Still can't stand the notch and who knows when it'll get the pie update, but for me, it just works. Hope everyone else is enjoying their S10e.

The G7 is a great device. Tremendous all-around performance. Great audio. Enjoy your new device!

Why not wait couple more days? G8 release April 11 with big discount, $150 off. I'm sure you carriers will do trade in offer.

I got lucky when someone offered a like new G7 for $260 at swappa (with all the original accessories and few cases). And the phone was already provisioned for ATT, so I get Wifi calling. Plus the moroccan blue is really amazing. And I might be one of few who prefers the LCD screen vs OLED (still have that burn in anxiety).

If LG offers a great trade in deal like what Samsung did, I might consider the G8.

I'm glad that you gave it a shot. Considering the price of these devices, it only makes sense for you to use what works best for you. I hope you'll enjoy your G7.

Sorry to hear it. But glad that you have a phone that you love. That's important.

I have a G7 but looking it side by side with the current crop the chin and notch look really big! The flat screen is appreciated though.

As a lefty the 10e has been totally ruined for me by the FPS placement so in that regards it sparks frustration not joy!

True about the FPS placement. As I have said to someone else here, use the middle finger. It works much better.

Not really, yes it works fine in terms of reliability and speed but as a lefty there is no way to reach it properly without adjusting your grip or of course changing hands. Adjusting your grip does not sound like much but it gets old quite quickly.

Gotcha. I can understand where you are coming from. It does get old for sure. I'm not left handed so I will take your word for it.

Yeah. As long OP is happy we're good ;).

Man! T-Mobile is killing the G8 with their deals.

I'm with Att. They are offering the G8 for free with $200 visa with a new line. I'm going to add a new line next year for my kid. Should i jump on it now, use the G8 and give the G7 to my kid or just hold off? It's a tempting deal.

Personally, I don't think you can hold off when it comes to tech. Why? They always release new device every 3 months. It's the deal I'm going after.

As for TMobile.

Option 1: they offered $200 off launch price $619 without trade in or add a line

Option 2. On top $200 off. You can trade-in your old devices ($310-$200-$100).

So I can get $619-$319 = $300 final price. Sound good to me without adding anything.

Traded in my G7 to get a 10e and very happy with the 10e. The G7 is a great, great under rated phone, however I really like the gestures in the 10e. They match what I have in my Iphone X. Enjoy your G7.

Different strokes. I am loving this phone, and can't think of a single device in it's class that's better.

I currently got a deal on the S10e and quite frankly.. I am really impressed.. Comfortable in the hand.. Screen size is very, very good. Speed from app to app extremely fast and the phone overall seems to be very well optimized.

I have compared this small phone to my One plus 6T. No issues side by side. I tried the S7 one time and hated it this S10e flies. Samsung has a winner on its hands.
