S2 Gear Contacts - Image Sync Issues

I'm struggling to fully sync my phone contacts (S6 Edge) to the Gear S2, currently the S2 is pulling over the basic information such as name and numbers, but about 95% of my contacts have no images assigned to them although they are there on the phone. Does anyone know a way to re-sync the contact without having to reset the device and re-install the Gear app on the phone?

I am facing a similar issue as not all my contacts names are displayed while receiving a call. And I have tried everything 😠😠😠😠
Mobile: note 5

Re: S2 Gear Contacts - Image Sync Issues

It's a very frustrating situation, especially considering the reset, etc. took so long.

Are you guys getting your full contact details though?

I have my wife in my Favorites on my Note 5 with a Home, Office and Cell number but the Home Ph# is the only one appearing on my watch right now?

Not having that issue using a Note 5, I have all of my contacts with Gmail and synced with my Tab S and Gear S2 with no problem whatsoever.
And some of my contacts have pictures and they show up on my S2 as well
The only suggestion is to make sure all of your contacts are synced with Gmail and Samsung account.

I reset the watch and restored and now all is sync'd fine. Thx.

I was having issues with the gear s2 3g. With Bluetooth only, watch is not activated, I was not able to get the gear to work with s-voice. Svoice would come back with contact not found even though the contact was in the contacs on the watch. What I did was turn off Bluetooth turn on WiFi. Connected to the phone by trying to make a call from the watch using Svoice. It worked. Turned on Bluetooth and repeated and call went through. Turned off WiFi and tried again and it all works fine. Svoice now connects to contacts for both text and voice calling.
I guess the watch watch to make some type of Internet or data or whatever type of connection to fully work. Since I did not activate the watch it never made a connection as it would had I activated the watch.
May work for others that have a problem with the watch Bluetooth not seeing you contacts.

Update. OK so to work the watch must need to call, or contact, the Samsung mother ship since it is also a phone. The software must be set up to make that connection when you activate the phone part. Since I have not done that yet, and may never do so, the watch needed to still make that connection. Turning on WiFi must of allowed that connection. Main thing is the watch works like it is supposed to when in Bluetooth only mode.
