S20 series Accessories discussion!

I was planning on using the Accessory credit towards the Smart Clear View case as well, but with the recent reports of use of that style case leading to burn-in on the Note Ultra... Hoping that issue is specific only to that model device, but am a little wary.
Would be interested in threads here about it. All I found in a web search might be just one incident being reported by a bunch of minor sites. Even one of them mentioned it going away on its own, so could be temporary retention as opposed to permanent burn in. Curiously, other pages that showed up in my search that weren't about burn-in seem to say the screen goes dark after a few seconds with the case and complained that they wanted the display to be constant.

Not concluding there isn't a problem but would like to learn more.

Given that style of case implementation has been around for a while, I'm hopeful that it amounts to naught, or is relevant only to that model.

I purchased a camera lens protector for my Galaxy S20 FE 5G but when using the flash all I see is a blue haze entirely covering every single photo. If I turn the flash off, this does not happen.
I took off the protector and closely examined the lens area with a magnifying glass and discovered that it looks like there may already be a protector on there presumable coming from the factory.
Does anyone know if this is so? Or is it possibly a T-Mobile addition?
If not, any ideas on how to deal with the blue haze when using an add-on protector. I had the same issue when I tried one on my Pixel 3a and just gave up on that one.
Thanks

I am most curious about those who choose to put a protector on the camera lens area as I've never seen this interest before the S20 model phones came out-- I've never seen people so concerned about putting screen protectors on their camera lens until now.

As the cameras in these phones get more and more sophisticated, they are taken more seriously.
I'm a professional photographer and frankly wouldn't use a cell phone camera for anything serious, but I do find that I use the camera in these later phones more than I used to. I can always put a lens cap on a professional lens, but these phones have no such thing.

The lenses are not covered. Placing the back of the phone down risks banging the lenses. Dust, dirt and smudges come in contact with the them all the time and can eventually start to degrade the images taken.

Didn't work out. Since the translucent front isn't anchored to the either side of the phone, it can shift around when closed. It is also a fingerprint magnet.

Lastly, I've used nothing but Windows phones since 2013 which answer calls via the touch screen. Since the FE was my first Android phone and ordered sight unseen, I assumed it would be the same and took the case's claim that calls could be answered without opening the cover to mean touch worked thru the translucent front.

To anyone who has bought a DBrand skin before, are they worth the cost?
Trying to decide if I want to pony up for one or two.

I'm delighted with the Spigen Tough Armor case and the way the camera bump recesses nicely.
All in all, a perfectly designed case and practically bomb-proof!

I just got the otterbox pop case. I like it but I wish there was a better selection of colors. But it protects, which is what I wanted.View attachment 321712

I wonder if they will make something like that when I get the S21 Ultra next month. I love my i blason cosmo case I have now but it's considered lite and is only one piece. I bought a 2 piece different style and don't like it and never used it. They say the purple marble case that I want for the 21 Ultra wont be lite and will be the 2 pieces but maybe with a popsocket and me not taking the case off it will be ok. I loved my Otterbox Symmetry I had for my S7 Edge after that they didn't have any ones I liked. But I like that but would want a cute design. But I use the Swappable pop tops so I can do wirless charging and that may not do it. I already bought a popsocket for when I get my new phone during black friday.

⁣I got my S20 case from Popshine Cases and it saved my phone twice at least! It protects the cameras too and isn't too thick or heavy. I am loving the style too!

Got this pretty cheap on Amazon:

That looks like the Cosmo Lite I have now from I blason sort of and I just happened to find a popsocket with the same colors. I just like how mine is one piece not two. Mine has grey in it but I figured I would see what people had for the S20 Ultra to give me some ideas. I really like the I-Blason purple marble though I the Cosmo just wish it would come in the lite 1 piece and they said no.

I finally got a 45w charger since the Elecjet version is only $21 on Amazon. I must say I'm impressed. Can get from 10% to 100 in about 55min, but what really impressed me was in 30min I can get from 10% to 78%. View attachment 326403

That's awesome! I am reading the S21 Ultra will be the only one out of the 3 new ones next month to do that but it may be 65W. If so I'll want to buy a new charger also.

Just keep in mind that the faster you charge, the faster you degrade your battery. I recommend the 45 watt which will not exceed the C rate of charge of the device and should not impact you tremendously. Of course if you upgrade every year, what I said is less important to you.

I think I found my favorite protection combo.

Rhinoshield impact bumper and the impact skin on the back.

Bumper keeps phone thin but the sides, front, and back protected from drops.
Impact skin covers back (camera too) with tough textered vinyl so it wont get scratched. Also helps with tactile feel.

So if my new 21 Ultra only does 25 watt charging and I know it's rumored to maybe do 45 Do you know what charger I already have with my S10 Plus which only does up to 15 watts of charging I believe? Cuz the new phone won't come with a charger so is it worth it for me to upgrade or just keep the one I'm using with my S10 Plus They all say fast adaptive charging 2.0. We just won't know for sure anything about the phone Watt for the Ultra until the 14th

We're getting the S21 alteration should we put a screen protector on ours? I've seen where people were doing it on the 21. Also has anybody ever heard of a case company called Velvet Caviar? I was googling cases and they came up and they have one that I really want. But I'm not familiar with them.

I despise cases that leave buttons or the whole bottom exposed. I don't want dust getting inside the speakers or any crevice. And it just looks sloppy and unfinished. I also bought a protector for my camera. The whole camera cutout is made of glass. I don't want it to get scratched or cracked. And I plan on keeping this for years. So I want to take care of it. Not long after I put the protector on, I dropped my phone. And a small crack is on it. It doesn't affect pictures. But the protector does seem to alter pictures at night. I took fireworks pictures on the 4th of July. But they didn't turn out as good as I hoped.
