S20+ to S21+ - Can you even tell you have a new phone?

Similar to how the shape of sedans has merged over the past 30 years. there are subtle changes as designers try tweaking ergonomics just a bit and some of those stick. the other area is the interface. android shells have gotten closer to each other and even android and apple share so much more every year.
form (eventually) follows function.

Apple is finally catching up with Android. :).

I went from S10 to the S21 and I do notice a few differences but not as much as I would expect from a phone that is 2 years newer.

Can definitely feel my S21Ultra being a little heavier than my S20 Ultra, which I don't mind. The back camera definitely is a telling indicator that I have a new device. The curved glass edges of the screen seem a little less curved than before. And the SIM card tray, of course.

Maybe you'll see a difference in overall performance and camera due to the better processor. Sometimes next-iteration upgrades aren't always that different from one another.

So far in the first few days of use the battery life does seem to be better.

S21+ arrived today and I put in my Nova Backup so the screens are set up the same. I still have to get some of the sounds and a few widgets set up, but otherwise if I didn't know that I had a new phone I'm not sure I'd know that I had a new phone. I have the same Spigen cases on them. The S20+ weighs 7.8oz and the S21+ 8.4oz. Maybe the fingerprint reader is a little faster but the S20's wasn't slow. We'll see if the battery life is any better.

LMFAO I had the exact same setup and I feel the exact same way! Haha

You have to do the Flossy Carter smell test , then you know it's New tell me you don't do this

Well, I guess I expect a new $1000 phone to feel at least a little different than its predecessor. I'm not saying it's all bad, just interesting that it's so similar
Phone upgrades are incremental from one year to the next.

With trade-in deals so good, I've been getting a new Galaxy every year since the S7e. I also just transfer via Smart Switch and use the same Nova layout year after year. The experience is pretty similar so it doesn't feel game-changing new, but I always appreciate the zippiness and pep that a new phone brings.

I will always miss the flashing LED notification light though...

Really good way to look at it.

While the trade in deals are tempting the S21 for me was just realeased to soon compared to the S20.
