Hi all

This is my first samsung, When do Samsung usually push updates for these in the month?
I have an unlocked S20 ultra (SM-G988B) in the UK, Still on the April the 1st update, my girlfriend has an unlocked S20, this got the May 1st update early in the month,

I've tried smart switch, and there's no update there either.

Are you both on the same carrier?

Three phones are supplied unlocked to all networks and O2 phones are locked to their network. It is probably a carrier vs unlocked situation as to when updates occur. I am on Three unlocked phone S10+ and I got my May update at the beginning of the month as well.

Hi Kirstein

The S20 ultra should be unlocked as well, it was purchased from Ebay as an unlocked item.

The beauty of Samsung phones is they are fragmented like crazy and have million firmwares for the same model across the world. So it's hard to tell when they push updates. It's very dependent on your region, carrier and so many different factors. Generally speaking you should get update every month, but when during the month is hard to tell. Samsung doesn't have a defined day like how Google always pushes monthly updates to Pixels on the first Monday of the month.

Thank you :) Puts my mind at ease that it will come through at some point. I came from an iPhone 11 Pro and that was similar to the pixel, updates always coming through at the same time.

Will wait and see when it comes through.

What's a three verses a two phone?
