Is your phone getting hot to the point that you can't touch it? If it is heating up like this, I would not leave it charging when you are not in the same room; or going to sleep with it on the charger - wireless or otherwise.
Please keep us posted on what happens! If it's a new phone, purchased yesterday, it must be within its return window, yes?
I'm in the US, so mine is the Snapdragon variant.Do you know if you have the Exynos or Snapdragon version? I think the Exynos runs a little warmer than the Snapdragon versions.
If you're in the US it should be Snapdragon.

It does make a big difference in my area though. The issue is that 5G exists lol.
It'll be trying to hold onto a 5G signal that is probably incredibly weak and likely slower than 4G. Any 5G phone would probably get warm where you're using it.

I've bumped my network down to LTE, and the problem seems to have subsided. I wonder if there's a 5G issue with these phones?
No worries man, no offense takenMy apologies! I often just check out post counts and don't always see years of membership. It was a Monday - that's my excuse!
That's not so much of an issue this generation. The Exynos runs a little warmer, but that's because it's a little faster. It's not a night and day difference like it was a generation or two ago.
Is it? I've been watching reviews and Snapdragon is faster. Exynos gets hotter too but that's because it's a disadvantage of being and Exynos. That's why I'm planning to get a Snapdragon version from the US even when I'm currently staying in the Philippines.
Is there gonna be any issues with that btw? Using a Snapdragon version in an Exynos region?
