S21 Preorder Samsung Online

I had that issue and gave up and ordered through my computer. Still got the $250 credit, just not the extra $10 for using the app. Ordered Verizon 512gb.

Ah, glad it is not only me! Do frustrating. Samsung said they would get back to me within 3 days and I can retain my trade-in value, credit and additional $100 discount. What is the last day for pre-ordering?
 
I might be doing this as well with the fedex app. i have it coming to my inlaws house and im worried that if no one is home they wont leave it. I have a few days to decide

I believe last day would be the 28th as the 29th is the street date that you can go in store and buy it.
 
I know but how do I know what time it would be there verses being here. We both leave between 1 and 1:30 for work. UPS even if it needs a signature we can approve them to put it in our garage they have our code. I think Fed-Ex in the past has come early though. I have the app on my phone and tried to do manage orders it was down and wouldn't let me.

But now on my confirmation email it says one or more of your items is not available at this time and the only thing missing a date is the free smart tag. So I hope that is all. I know the pen said the 16th I can wait on that and the buds and other stuff the 1st and 2nd.

I don't think you can manage the package until Fedex actually has picked up.

Wierd on Smart tag. I ordered one Monday or so and got delivered today.

on TMobile here, but due to TMobile's JUMP program being so horrible last year, i bought my S20 Ultra 512 from samsung.com instead.

this year, i traded in my S20 Ultra for the S21 Ultra 512 unlocked also at samsung.com.

my question is what are the NEGATIVES, the downsides, of buying an UNLOCKED phone at samsung.com versus a TMobile phone at samsung.com?

would my phone have some features specific to TMobile that would be missing on my UNLOCKED phone?

i'm trying to understand the pros and cons of buying unlocked versus TMobile-specific variant, both bought at samsung.com.

i can't seem to think of any downsides of buying unlocked though.

fyi: i do need to eventually unlock a phone, say if i had bought it from TMobile via their JUMP program, as i travel internationally and when i arrive at the destination, i pull out my TMobile sim card and put in a local sim card. TMobile used to require that you own the phone for something like 3+ months before they will unlock the phone for you.

i wonder if it works the same if you bought a TMobile phone from samsung.com directly, would you still have to call TMobile and ask them to unlock it for you?

I have owned Unlocked and T-Mobile versions. It may just be me but preferred t-mobile version. On S20 I had unlocked and signal strength was 1 bar at work, flashed t-mobile version and had 3 bars, so not sure.

Also, I am not 100% sure if unlocked will have the t-mobile software to get the standalone 5G..someone else may can answer that.

Yes if you get t-mobile phone from samsung, t-mobile is the one that still has to unlock.
 
My cancel button is gone as of this afternoon, and the stage of the order has moved to "in process". Also the pending charge from Samsung has dropped off which based off experience tells me the complete charge will come through in the next 24 to 48 hours.

With FedEx sig required, with COVID they don't - they know you, and they are just putting at front door or where you direct them to. Great little app, very handy.

i'm thinking now, at this juncture, the key next move is to see the actual debit on our cards.

thus far, we've only seen pending amounts, not actual debits. so if by Fri/Sat/Sun, we see actual debits, it would feel real and it's really happening ;)

That is my educated guess, yes. By Sunday night we should have a completed charge and a tracking number. Am thinking Monday at the latest.

So you're saying there is a way to sign for the package electronically, if FedEx regularly delivers to you and you're in a neighborhood they deem safe to leave packages? Please explain further when you can.

If you use Fedex app, I already having tracking listed. You should have as well I am guessing

They usually have that option for less valuable packages, but I'm not sure they'd do that for a $1400 device. But if they did, it'd be at the customer's own risk--by authorizing the signature-free dropoff, the customer would be agreeing that the package counts as being successfully delivered as soon as it's dropped off, so if it disappears after that, it's the customer's sole problem.
 
Hope I didn't screw something up by cancelling my initial order and making a new order directly afterwards (I accidentally put my trade in as a Note 20 Ultra instead of S20 Ultra) because I notice each bill was different in total amount. My first one I cancelled came out to $729.53 and my new order came out to $725.03. The only thing I can see that's different on each invoice is the tax, weird. I have a pending transaction for the amount of the order that I cancelled but not one for my updated order (both where placed early Jan 15th about 2am.) My newest order went to "In Process" for every item and the cancel button has disappeared for every item. The phone and case says expected delivery Jan 29th and the other accessories say Feb 02. Hope everything went through OK lol. I was going to just stick with the initial order and then just call them afterwards to update my trade in to the S20U from the Note20U...

There's a release you you leave on your door signed though but I think if gets stolen it releases them from the insurance on the shipment. Not 100% sure on that. Just have them deliver to Walgreens.

Well since my order just got released this am from being on hold mine says I'll get it on the 29th and I still have the cancel button. Haven't checked my husbands but his had said B/O ships by the 27th.
