S21 Preorder Samsung Online

Any change on your husband's order? Mine is still the same.

I can't remember if he looked last night or this morning but it had not changed. And mine's the same now as his ships by the 27th backordered but both of ours say ordered on the 15th Mine just got put on hold for a little bit and taken off. But I'll check his again when I get home from work later.

Edit: No husband's order is still the same will ship week of the 27th.

The money from my card was taken about 3 days ago, order hasn't changed status though. I'm in UK so not sure if the process is different over here.

FedEx tracker showed up this morning in the FedEx app. 1/27 delivery. Ultra, 256gb, unlocked..

It is nice that brick and mortar Best Buy exist so we can have hands on prior to ordering online. Same with carrier stores that carry live models. Too bad Best Buy didn't arrange some sweet deals to get those shoppers from buying while in the store

A bestbuy i went to with kind of all out. They had balloons with the words S21 and a whole display. But all the assessories were gone so it looked bad. They sold a bunch of chargers and wireless chargers

@jlangner: do you recall if they carry unlocked models?

how big is the difference between TMobile's variant versus the unlocked variant? i'm with TMobile too for many years and only because their JUMP was so horrible last year with the S20 Ultra, did i stop doing the JUMP with them. i used to love their JUMP. i think it might have something to do with their merger with Sprint.

From these past couple of years the Tmobile vs the Unlocked shouldnt be any different. But from my experience and some people i know the Unlocked model doesnt get very good signal in the same spots as the certified Tmboile variant.

Thats why i never buy the unlocked model, plus Tmobile has always been good to me with trade ins. And id rather pay over 24 months then the 36 with samsung

I keep trying to to sign up for delivery manager and it says action can't be completed at this time but I see nothing in my app no tracking # or anything yet. :-(

I know Best Buy was only giving $500 compared to $550 from Samsung for our S10 + and the extra $60 in accessories. The guy even told me that was a better deal. Now if Best Buy would of through in a case and maybe knocked $50 off the price plus gave us $550 than I would of considered them. I only like to do them cause it's so much easier to turn in your old phone. I get so worried cause I've heard horror stories about Samsung. I mean we haven't had a problem yet but others have. I just checked out credit card isn't charged yet neither.

I want to go back in there and play around with the phone again LOL! I already have my case and stuff but I still am not a 100% sure I'm doing the right thing cause the Ultra is so big and I liked the plus but I keep telling myself I'm getting 16 gigs of Ram 512 storage bigger battery and the WQHD and better camera. I really couldn't fully tell and until my phone is in the case with the pop socket in just the right spot than I will know. :-).

This doesn’t make a bit of sense as they are exactly, and I mean EXACTLY the same device. Only difference would be the SIM card you’re using.

Picked a great condition unlocked S10E locally for $260 so all set for trading it in for $550 after receiving my unlocked S21 Ultra.

Carrier versions differ on software for one. Why monthly updates differ. The OS is the same. And the two live in separate layers since Galaxy 9 series.

So not just the SIM but i don't know the particulars

However, “reception” wouldn’t be an issue differentiated by a carriers slower adoption of a software update.

Unlocked models clean software without any carrier crap and it's the phone Samsung intended to make unlike the carrier customized software. Not a big deal for 99% of the people but for me I wouldn't use the carrier models even if they pay me to ... And yeah don't care if its only few T-Mobile apps that can be disabled etc, that carrier boot logo itself is a turn off for me. And yes you can flash unlocked firmware buying carrier models etc. But when I have the option to buy the unlocked model direct that's always the way to go for me personally.

Also, never have any issues with signal on unlocked models using for many many years. For majority people, the carrier models might be the preferred option for better deal, support from carrier and many other reasons. But for me who absolutely don't want to deal with anything carrier, unlocked models have served me well over the years.

Couldn't agree more. Had both on VZ and picked up unlocked this time around since the VZ model wouldn't kick out of the Samsung ordering system this time which was a little funky. I get the unlocked model on 1/27 and just pop the sim in from my VZ S20 and it will connect right away. The VZ account page will show the new Ultra within minutes.

For S20 and Note 20 I had to wait til T-mobile update enabled the 5G standalone. I guess depends on if that is now included in unlocked updates.

It doesnt have to make sense. Thats just how it is. You can try to make something the exact same as something else but there will always be small differnces.

Im everyone has different experinces, that was just our experience on unlocked vs carrier models.

Carrier bloat is another headace altogether. I can live with some but not a bunch like when i use to be on Att.
