I was just wondering if anyone is contemplating moving to the coming pixel phone line up. I have to admit my favorite phone from past was the pixel 4xl , liked everything minus the battery size. I hear the batteries on this phones are going to be bigger. I have no complaints on my 21+ just curious if I should make the jump. 🤔

Imo no, cause I don't like Pixel, but your the only one who can answer since you are using not us.

I have an S21 Ultra and Pixel 5. TBH, I am anxiously waiting for the 6pro. My SIM continues to stay in my P5. Just hoping I get good trade in value for my S21U, or I may just put it on Swappa.

Don't have faith in Google the last two devices were not so good in my opinion. I rather go with the iPhone 13 pro then a pixel device.

I have S21U and wish there was something that's packed with all features but be a bit smaller. I think 6 Pro is the same size as S21 Ultra. Will see.....I would have to wait for camera reviews to make the switch. I don't have any bugs on S21, and Google always seems to screw something up.....

I'm curious as to how the P6 and 6 pro are going to perform. There's a lot of hype on the internet about this phone. So many people are looking forward to it. I looked forward to the 4xl and I bought one. Then they abandoned the radar sensor in it. Face unlock worked great, pre-covid.

I'm apprehensive toward Google phones, even though this one seems promising. They have a track record of introducing new features then abandoning them the next year or two. They try and follow the latest trend, Pixel 3 notch anyone? At least when apple does things, even if we hate them, they stick with them.

This is why I went with Samsung this year with the S21 Ultra. Samsung is one of the top 2 phone manufacturers out there and they are more consistent than Google. I've learned to appreciate some of their software such as Bixby routines and the myriad ways of theming my phone. I had to flash a custom rom back in the day to get the level of customization that you can get on a Samsung phone.

Honestly, although happy with the price of both devices, I'll pass. I'm sure the cameras will be insane, but the new UI is so bland, it's the the software equivalent of an IKEA store.

I'd actually take the iPhone 13 pro over it.

?
Perhaps you could be more specific, especially how the iPhone UI is not bland.

I don't like the look of the UI. Any of it. Something about the "creaminess" of it makes me want to gag.

I know I'm in the minority though.

Gotcha.
It certainly is a personal opinion. I love the new UI, simple and clean. I like the color schemes also.

You didn’t answer about iOS but I find it boring and old as heck.

I wasn't really complimenting Apple so much as I was saying if I were buying a new phone I'd probably go for the iPhone over the Pixel. Perhaps I might come around once I can play with one in person.

I'm waiting to see how the 22 Ultra turns out.

They aren't accepting S21 as trade in so no as well, besides imo not an upgrade anyway. I assume reason is basically would have to almost give you one for an S21 Ultra.

One could always sell their S21 on Swappa. Then they could order the 6. I have the ultra and it did cross my mind. But I would miss the amount of customization on this phone.

I have the S21 Ultra and I just ordered the Pixel 6 Pro. If I like the Pixel, I will sell the S21 Ultra. If not I will send it back.

This is a great idea, and it wouldn't surprise me if this happened with some users!

If I like my Pixel 6 I might put my S21ultra into semi-retirement and use it as a doorstop.

I don't think I'd be happy with the pixel 6 over my S21 Ultra. Too many customization options on this phone. If I had to choose between the two to buy right now, though, it would be the 6 over the S21. Simply because of the value of the 6. This ultra definitely wasn't worth the $1249 that I'm paying for it. I will probably keep it for another few months before I sell it on Swappa.

I would like to go to a store and try out the Pixel 6 before I buy it.

I have the S21 ultra and ordered a regular pixel 6. Will test it for a bit and one will be sold/returned.
