That is CRAZY! I got mine in October of 2022. I've had one by my side ever since.
I had originally purchased my factory unlocked, Phantom black 256gb model from Ebay refurbished.
It was, surprisingly, a good purchase and I had no issues for the entirety that I had it up until my son decided to drop marbles on the screen.
This was in December of 2024. Couple months later, I was so bummed, I decided to get another one. This time from Samsung refurbished directly from Samsung.com
Sadly, the only model they had was the 128gb. Ah well.
Issues arose unfortunately for me after the Android 15/One UI 7 update, basically screwing my cellular reception. My service would just randomly cut out and not come back on for awhile in the most random spots which I had no issues before. My then Note 20 ultra, which was my backup device, didn't have this issue. I got so frustrated I eventually just opted to upgrade to an S23 Ultra and traded in my Note 20U.
It's mostly been a good experience. The camera is definitely a step up from the S21 Ultra, and the battery life is WAY better. However, I still find myself more often than not when I'm at home on Wifi reaching for my S21 Ultra. The feel of the device IMO is much better, more comfortable, and I feel like the screen is a bit more saturated. I also feel like the speakers sometimes come off as louder. Also, oddly enough, for some reason, my S21U seems much smoother and more responsive in certain things than my S23U. Perhaps it's the configuration of 12GB of RAM vs 8GB on the S23U? I can't imagine it would make THAT big of a difference, though.
The S21 Ultra is still my favorite device ever honestly and this is the longest I've ever had a specific device. I plan on keeping it around until something happens to it. The Note 10+ for a long time was my favorite device, but no more.
Any other die hard S21 Ultra fans?
