Just wondering if anyone with the Phantom Black S21 Ultra has noticed any scratches, chips, flaking paint or other damage to the flat black painted area of the camera hump after months of use?

Just installed another glass protector and wondering if I even need this this thing? :p

I haven't used a protector on my rear camera on my Note20U and so far been good

I had a protector on camera to start but was noticing slight flaring in photos so took it off. So far so good.

I believe the Note 20 Ultra camera housing is glass and not scratch prone aluminum like the S21U. :p

JerryRigEverything video got me worrying :-\

Isn't the S21 also painted making it even worse? Or is that just the Samsung exclusive colours?

Most camera lenses have a "bump" or a little indent, so the body of the phone will take most of the abuse if need be. I still think going caseless is dangerous - but with the Phantom Black, I can sure understand why! :)

If my S21 had dual sim enabled I could tell you?

Lol what kinda glass are you putting on the back?

I was using a case with a low lip and the raised area around the camera did chip a little and exposed some silver. I used a Sharpie to color it and switched to a different case with a higher lip.

I've had no protection on my 5-month-old black S21U. There's a very small scrape on the edge of the camera bump, but otherwise no blemishes.

ESR tempered glass protector on my S21 Ultra camera housing; no issues with photos and no marks either :)

Wouldn't run it naked TBH; be sods law I end up marking it

While a Note 20 Ultra example here, somehow I did manage to get some small nicks/scratches around the rear camera housing frame edge in four spots. Put on a camera housing protector in hope that it will minimize further problems.
