What a sweetie! Are you using the S22, S22+, or S22 Ultra? I'm thinking of the S22 again but I need to know that it takes good cat pictures!

It's the S22 Ultra. It's a great camera in daytime and the zoom is absolutely fantastic for a phone, but I must be honest and say that I'm actually slightly disappointed in it specifically for cat pictures: in low light I find the fur easily blurs with the tiniest bit of movement, and there is also a yellow cast to it (but apparently I read this yellowing only affects Exynos models). My wife's iPhone Pro takes significantly better cat photos in low light, much more detailed and colour accurate, and the cats have to move a LOT for them to be blurry. I just don't think I could live with the annoyances of iOS, and the S22 Ultra camera is still very good overall. It takes better selfies than the iPhone in my opinion, for example.

Thank you! This is why I am hesitant. As much as I know I'd love the Samsung experience again, I am constantly taking pictures of my cat and my S10 couldn't produce the kinds of images my Pixel 2 and now Pixel 5 can. Thank you for your honesty!

As someone else said, animal fur is sooooo much improved! I'm really happy-my cats hair no longer looks like an oil painting when i take a pic of her.

Only had less than 24hrs to play around with the camera but so far i'm really impressed. This alone makes it worth the upgrade for me.
