It looks to me like it was focused on the farthest post of that stainless steel fence when you took this picture. You could try locking the focus on the runners instead.

This was in low light at 3x. Just a point n shoot at the default settings. Absolutely nothing fancy.

Looks like Night Mode had the shutter open too long for the shot.

If you're comfortable with pro mode, I'd fiddle with shutter speeds and ISO ranges to get the right amount of clarity vs. light.

I think I would be making changes every shot if I used Pro Mode, it's dark for maybe 15 minutes before sun rise and I was blocking the sun so I could see the screen.

Definitely recommend it!! Be prepared for leg day though LOL There are a TON of steps!!
