Never been quite sure what these plants are(anyone know?), as they've been here since I've been living out here, but whatever they are I like em and the big oak tree and swing together in one pic.

Starting to get a little serious with this stuff now. I think as far as getting any classic milky way shots, I'll have to go down into the valley. Where I live, I'm on a mountain and have a lot of tree line to deal with, and according to Stellarium, they are right in the way of that unfortunately. However I dis get a couple cool shots here. And I'm not sure what constellation it's a part of, but I can see a ram head in the night mode image. Having fun doing this stuff. I've been willing to get down on the ground and in the dirt to do it. With these since I don't have a tripod, I used an empty container to prop my phone up for the pro mode shot(with edits in Adobe LR) and for the "ram head" I just laid flat on my back with a 2 second timer and held the phone as steady as I could. My knees hated it lol, but I enjoyed this little photo session tonight. Have a couple more I may post as well.

Thank you. There were some tips a guy in a FB astrophotography group gave me that have helped me up my game. He deserves a lot of credit. Without his help, that one shot would have been a blurry mess. But with his tips and assistance, I was able to turn it into a solid shot.

Thank you. Definitely no professional, I literally just sat my phone up against a plastic container and used it as a stabilizer as suggested by a guy in an astrophotography group im in. His suggestions with doing that and making edits made a tremendous difference in the image quality. The initial result wasn't great, but when he showed me how to adjust the contrast and adjust the blacks and whites to appropriate levels according to my ambient surroundings, that really helped a ton. That guy certainly knows his stuff and I am glad he shared those tips with me. I have a tripod coming in soon that he said will also be of great benefit.

Much more challenging tonight. Try as I might, I could not replicate anything from yesterday, even with the same set up. Had TONS of washed out takes trying to replicate what I did yesterday. So I just went overhead with my phone on top of a box tonight and timer and worked with what I could get.

Lousy night for astrophotography l, but did manage to catch a couple toads. Will have to separate due to total image size. This one here was portrait night mode at 1x and 3x
