S23 Ultra Camera (versus the others) Master Thread

In this comparison video to the S22U it looks like it's mainly just the video stabilization is better (much better). But the S22U selfie cam looks better and sharper while recording video than the S23U. A little more dynamic range during night recording but not much better overall. Still pics are kinda a toss-up.

S23U Versus iPhone 14 Pro Max. Samsung still has it's trade-mark shutter lag (still!?) but still the best zoom. Most other tests are a back and forth between the two and the S23U's 8k video is improved over the previous year and again, the selfie cam video on the S23U seems a little bunk and washed out like the in the previous video I posted above.

Probably not but it's never a guarantee that software updates can fix every single thing so there's that...

Yike! At 8:17 of this video the S22U is taking much clearer photos at normal and 10X zoom compared to the S23U! I'm watching the video at 4k on a 42" LG C2 Oled and the difference is pretty clear! The S23U is really not looking like a good upgrade from the S22U for the money and poor trade in values this year! I've been upgrading every single year since the S10 but I'm really not feeling it this year!

Once i have it in my hands i can determine if its a upgrade from s22u but im thinking it will be .

Samsung always updates camera software. I wouldn't think S23 Ultra is always going to have worse camera than S22 Ultra.

Some reviews mentioned a blue tint on the images taken in cloudy weather outdoors. Hopefully it will be corrected with software updates.
