I saw that. turning music on didh't help. But it does day tapping the clock when locked, so it doesn't appear to address the app, only the lock screen display of the app.

If it's just streaming apps, then this might be a clue. Does it happen on 5g as well? One more thing I thought of is, go to wifi / intelligent wifi and see if you have power saving for wifi enabled.

I don't believe I ever get 4G, but certainly in 5G.
WiFI is turned off 99% of the time. Turned it on just to check and power savings is not enabled.
No VPN.

I'll give one more idea
Go to settings>apps>3 dots upper right corner tap>reset app preference
Maybe something there can fix this since it happens with multiple apps

Thanks for the suggestion. But I'm doing any more resets. I went to Safe Mode and that changed configurations I wasn't expecting. Not only did it removed my theme and a couple other minor configurations, it turned off syncing on all of my (dozen or so) email accounts. So I didn't realize I wasn't getting emails on my phone for a few days.
Not worth the effort of having to reconfigure my phone.

It's part of testing issues but I understand your view with setting certain things back as were.
