Really? For example, for current pre-order I paid about $44 in taxes for $537 order price, after trade-in - 8.25% for my locality. Several years ago I ordered from Best Buy and paid taxes on $900 full phone price, before trade-in.

I might get both discounts, thanks to whomever suggested that. I went thru the Microsoft link then added Rakuten cashback. I know it is showing in the Rakuten side and Microsoft says cash back is pending. so we will see.

Maybe in the past we got ripped off. When you buy a new car they only tax on the amount after trade in allowance if you have one. Normally there's tax on coupons and discounts

I initially ordered Orange, but after seeing some unboxing videos went with Violet and canceled the Orange one

Violet is a nice color this year.

I wish I would of thought of that I have edge browser on my computer and not too long ago I realized I had 25 bucks in there and didn't know it. But I was having so many issues on my computer and seeing the $150 that it finally showed up on my chromebook and I just ordered.

It's personal preference honestly. I wasn't super sold on Orange to begin with. I already have blue Pixel 8 pro so blue was out of the picture and currently have mint S23 ultra, so green is out since didn't want green shade again. Between the titanium grey and violet, have the iPhone 15 Pro Max with titanium grey so went with Violet

And most initial unboxing had positive things to say about Violet color. So made the decision to switch to Violet.

If your first preference is Orange, go for it.
