Hello there! I'm not really new here as I've been around since 2010, just rarely ever post. But now I have a question re the fingerprint sensor on the S25 Ultra. Are you supposed to see the sensor itself? I've never seen it on any of the other Ultras & I've had the 22, 23 & 24. Now I can't un-see it! At first I thought it was ripples in the glass, then realized what it was. Have attached pics; icon showing & then screen off.
Thank you. 20250224_071151.jpg20250224_071220.jpg

Yup, it's always been there. Because of all the internal changes and improved sensor hardware it may be closer to the screen and more 'prominent', but yeah, it's always been visible even in the older models (it started to be more noticeable on the S23 line).

Okay, thank you. I've just not seen it on my other Ultras. But I didn't really use the fingerprint feature on those phones, either. Maybe I'm just mashing my thumb too hard!

I can tell a huge difference in the FPS on the S25U. Previous Galaxy flagships often struggled tremendously to read my prints, especially throughout the winter when my hands get so dry.

The ZF3 actually had a great sensor, but it was because it was a button on the side rather than under the display.

It's a lot more visible if you go out on a sunny day. The first time I saw it on the S23 I, also, thought I had broken my screen or something!

This! The fp sensor on my S25U has recognized my fp 100% of the time, zero failed attempts. Didn't even need to turn on touch sensitivity like previous phones even with a screen protector. The S24U was extremely finicky with dry fingers.

But yes, the fp sensor could always be seen especially in the right light conditions.
