S3 hdmi help

[AC Question]

Ordered a Samsung HDMI adapter. I plugg it in as says. When plugged into my charger it don't show up on TV all my phone does is beep. I can't find a single clue to y it's beeping. I thought I could use my normal phone charger

Welcome to Android Central! Which MHL adapter? There might be a compatibility issue if you ordered the one intended for the S2: Samsung Galaxy S3 uses a different MHL/HDMI Adapter
