S3 Lockscreen Swipe Problem

Hi all,

Recently I'm having a problem with the lock screen on my S3. I have it set on 'swipe to unlock'; when I turn the screen on with the home button, the lock screen comes on but then automatically goes to the home screen and lags a bit, so I'm not able to swipe to unlock the phone. I never had this problem before, and I've tried pulling out the battery to fix this bug but it's still happening. If anyone has any idea, please let me know, thanks!

Sounds like an artifact of Jelly Bean. Have you recently updated to Jelly Bean? If so, did you do a Factory Reset afterwards?
I use a pattern lock and can't reproduce that behavior; also tried pattern + swipe and that worked fine with the Home button as well.
