AC Question

Hi
My gt-i9305 s3 lte is stuck at the bootup screen displaying
SAMSUNG GALAXY S III GT-I9305
It would just stay on this screen until the battery dies
Also when the charger is put in it displays a battery with a circle thingy but doesnt move.
Cant access recovery mode but can get into download mode.
However in download mode it only displays "odin mode" in red
"Product name:" with nothing after
"Custom binary download: no"
"System status: custom"

Then the android alien with "downloading.... do not turn off target!!"

Phone was locked to ee(uk)but i had it unlocked from a phone shop, i believe its the international model but could be wrong. Just have valuable pictuers and videos which im worried about rather than revivng the phone but that would be preferable.
Any help would be very appreciated!

No it occured out of nowhere. Put it on charge and after an hour or two i returned to find it had switched only to find it in a so called bootloop. The unlocking was to be able to use any sim from any network/carrier in the phone. Have been using it without fail for at least 5 years

Not one you'll like. That sounds as if the motherboard is gone. Considering the age of the phone, you can probably buy a better one for less money than it will take to repair that one. Get an estimate then, if you're in the US, look on swappa.com.

Feared that.... so theres no way at all to recover photos and videos off the phone, they are very valuable to me..... at this point im willing to try anything

If the partitioning information is gone, there's no way to get to the partition in which your data is located. It's like finding the phone in a house you left it in after all the houses on the block were torn down and the debris removed.

In the future, make sure you have backups of all important files. Free cloud space is all over. (mega.nz gives you 50GB free - that should be enough.)

Thanks for your help and ill definately take a look at that for my future devices, just unfortunate how the poor thing went served me well since its release!
