I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 phone. Stock firmware (4.1.1), never rooted. A few days ago it began to randomly turn off. The last time I went to restart the phone it got stuck in a boot loop mode and would only go as far as the Samsung splash screen. I have tried removing the battery, Sim, SD card with the same results. I can boot into download mode but not recovery mode. Both Kies & Odin fail when I try to flash the firmware.(I have tried several versions of Odin) The error I get trying to load recovery mode is the android dude in the middle of the screen with the message KERNEL PANIC UPLOAD MODE
At the top of the screen it reads:
Kernel Panic!
KRAIT INFO
Panic caller: ext4_handle_error+0x8c/0x98
Panic msg: EXT4-fs (device mmcblk0p14): panic forced after err
Thread: e2fsck:116
Wait...
Done!
Any ideas? I am leaning toward a bad motherboard at this point...thanks!
