S4 Active water damage (display problem)

I bought a used S4 Active last month and this day I tried it's water proofing by dripping it onto bowl of water (charging port intact and back cover was sealed) but later on I've charged it after drying it out but the display is blank, no light nor displays nothing. The touch was working because it vibrates and I can hear the touch sounds.. Sometimes the display turns on perfectly fine but turning off the screen again will render the display to not work soon. I don't know why this happens but the display just works for one at a time for sometimes. I cannot use it whenever I want.. the display just works randomly!

You’ve discovered that the phone is not waterproof. The water has evidently damaged it.

Aww.. I've just discovered that the screen works and it displays something. It is only visible when I put a flashlight on. The backlight just doesn't work for 'most' of the times...
