S4 Audio Fault (Clicking)

Guys I don?t know if this is my phone, but just got my S4 upgraded from S2 and the audio clicks occasionally. Its really bad on flac files. I tested a few MP3s and it does it at the same time at the same point. Play back on the PC or on the S2 and its fine. Have tried different programs including Poweramp. Any thoughts. Do I have a faulty phone?

That's weird... especially since you say it does it always at the same point... I don't have many music files in my phone (I use Spotify) but the ones I've tested play out just fine... Are you playing from SD card or internal memory?

I am playing off internal memory. I have tried adjusting the advanced settings in Power amp but get the same issue. Weird how the same files play fine on the S2 and my PC.

i'm having a similar problem, but that clicking/popping sound pertains more to when the volume is increased to more than 60% with quality earphones (used both Sennheiser ie80 & Shure) but that sound doesn't happen with the stock earphones it came with. thought it was maybe my mp3 tracks but i then played a video through Youtube and the problem persists. Thought mine was defective also so i exchanged my S4 for another and still had the same problem, guy at BestBuy said first-run products are known to have some issues, usually the 2nd/3rd batch are better

Yes well either its the phone or not. I will wait to see if others report the fault. I am either going to replace it with an HTC One or get a refund.

I have the same issue with my s4, clicks and pops at higher volume (which isnt very high either) on music and podcasts. Very annoying.

Had same problem with my s3,its the file along with the app I only have clicking problem with power app
