S4 Bootloop!!!!!!

So i have had my samsung s4 for some time now, and one day its suddenly switched off and when i tried switching it on it won't pass the samsung logo. Ive tried changing the battery and thats no help. I am able to get in to download mode. Does anyone know the cause. thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! Can you boot into Recovery Mode and wipe the cache partition? http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5744

when i boot into recovery mode the phone switches off!

It sounds like it could be a more significant hardware problem, perhaps with the motherboard. Or perhaps a bad contact with the battery. Was the other battery you tried a brand new one?
