S4 Email Help

Just got my S4 today from US Cellular. I have put two emails in the email app and my inbox won't load on either. It just shows "loading..." and never moves.
I have my notifications for email set on and had my girlfriend send me an email and have received nothing. Has anybody else had this issue?

Did you set either one of the two emails as the default mail account ??...It appears to me that they are both trying to open at the same time.

I have a hotmail and gmail and the hotmail is default. My gmail doesn't show the loading it just says no messages and i have sent a message to my gmail using the computer and havent received it

Have you done a sync manually between the email on your phone and gmail or hotmail yet ? thay should bring the messages from the server into your phone, also is the SYNC setting with the check mark ??
