S4 has deleted all my s memo's?

Hi, I lost my S5 earlier in the week and now want to restore the Memos backed up on Kies 3. But when I try and restore the memos it just says within Kies 'Failed to restore the data'. Does anyone know hoe to fix this? Would like to access all my old memos!

I used ES File Explorer and searched for WORDS that were in my missing S Memo's. Lo and behold the files showed up! I just copied and pasted them back into the S Memo folder in ES File Explorer. All is now restored.

All you have to do is open your notes then hit the 'back' button on your android and you will see a number of your notes so just choose the one you want and it will come back up again.

I did this with my Samsung J1 memos app and ALL the memos I thought were gone did simply reappear. Thank you, now I can relax

Ok i lost all my memos when i changed the samsung account on the phone to a new email thinking i want a new account since this one is being used on a few devices. So i deleted the new account and added the old one and it started syncing and brought back my memos. Phew saved. The issue i have is why does it delete memos even thought i havent deleted itty from the phone? Hope my experience helps. Mine is a S6
