The iPhone is from the last generation of phones. It competed with the S3 and had more PPI.
Blackberry Z10 is a lost cause.

The whole thing comes down to what the S4 competes with: the HTC One. And at the end of the day the S4 pentile display is going to be pixelated and grainy.

Yeah but are you going to really use your phone right up to your face so your practically sticking it into your eye? Obviously not, when using the s3 at normal distance its difficult to see the pixels and thr s4 has an extra 135 pixels per inch. So you aren't going to see these pixels

Not only are the pixels per inch increased but you're talking a completely different pentile layout than the s3. Go ahead and shove that screen into your face and tell me it's a problem. Will it be the best screen ever? I doubt it. Well it be "horrible"? Please.... Far from it

I think the screen is very good, in the time ive had this phone ive rarely ever complained about the pentile, if ever.

Also people argue that the S3 still has one of the best screens to date, and the S4 is a full 1080p of goodness, like I said 130+ more pixels per inch than the s3, the only time your going to see these pixels is if your going to look down a microscope.

Funny those complaining about pentile have no clue it isn't even the same layout, it's the diamond layout of pixels. How about you go actually use one and then judge it.

Moto screens were always worse with the jaggedness on their screens compared to others.

When you say "up close", you are referring to a jeweler's loupe? Because that's the only way your sentence makes sense.
 
IMHO I think the S3 looks better when looking at text than the Note 2 and the S3 has a pentile display, okay it does have 306ppi vs 267ppi but the pentile is meant to look more pixelated so a 441ppi pentile display isnt going to look pixelated at all.
