S4 Mini Wifi Issue

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, and not the most phone-savvy person, so please forgive my ignorance here.

My wife and I both have S4 Mini's. Last night her's displayed a message saying the wifi connection was unsecure and is no longer giving her internet access. We've reset our router a few times with no luck. The weird part is both our laptops have no connectivity issues and my S4 Mini has had no issues either.

Any insights into what may be happening? She hasn't had a chance to connect to a different wireless network yet, but I'll have her try that tomorrow.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have security turned on for your network? What's the SSID of your network--did you customize it, or did you keep the default generic SSID? If the default is something like "linksys," and there's another Linksys router nearby (e.g., a neighbor's) with that same generic SSID, then it's possible your wife's phone was actually trying to log into that network instead of your own.
