S5 and S5 Neo Battery

Hello!

Are the S5 and S5 Neo's batteries interchangeable? All I know is that both have 2800 mAh Li-ion batteries but does this mean as long as its one of this kind of battery it will work? Or are the batteries phone specifix?

Batteries are phone specific, as far as where the contacts are located, the size of the battery, etc. But the S5 Neo uses the same battery as the S5, apparently.

This is the reply I got when I emailed samsung support a few days ago about the battery for s5 neo:
'I can confirm that the batteries between the Samsung Galaxy S5 and S5 Neo are completely different and can not be interchangeable. Please do not use the battery in the other device as this will effect the battery life and may also damage the device.'
