S5 Charging cables and hardware?

I was wondering what folks thought about the charging hardware and cables for the S5. I have a galaxy Note 8 tablet, and my wife ha a Galaxy 2 note, and those both use miniUSB connecters -- so naturally I have a bunch. This phone, of course, uses something different -- a USB3 cable.

I have a couple of those as well, and was wondering if any one had noticed any differences in using a standard USB3 cable verses the provided Samsung USB cable. Also, if any one had any recommendations for after market chargers. I discovered on the ride home today that (apparently) my car USB port doesn't put out enough amperage to charge the phone. This is a quite the problem because this thing eats power (even with powersaving on and most of the stuff turned off). In fact, plugging it into the car makes the battery drop.

Anyway, thoughts?

Thanks

The GS5 can use the USB 2 cables that you already have, but will charge slower and make the phone warmer than usual.
You're right, many cars don't have enough amperage to charge newer tablets and phones.
You need to buy just the cigarette lighter charger plug and use the USB cable that came with your phone.
Make sure the charger gives you 2 or 2.1 amps.

I purchased the Anker 24W Dual-Port Rapid USB Car Charger. Works very well.
I use the cable that came with my S5.

Black $9.99.
White $11.99.

Huh. I should have known that about the USB 2 cable, but it escaped my notice. Thanks for the heads up!
