S6 active stuck in safe mode

The volume down button stopped working and now the phone is stuck in safe mode. Tried using the button in the drop down box and shutting down using the vol down button (stopped working) hard reset the phone it will not come out. The button doesnt feel different or feel stuck, it still "clicks" when i push it and doesnt stick down. Any suggestions?

The switch behind the button is probably shorted, so the phone will have to go to a repair shop (where they'll probably tell you that you need a new motherboard - if they want to replace just the switch, consider yourself lucky - most shops are of the "replace the board" type these days).
