My Galaxy S6 Edge started freezing overnight about the second or third week that I owned it. I'd wake up and the edge clock display would be frozen at the time at which it froze. It was completely non-responsive. Next to the edge clock display it would show a good battery charge (say 90% for example one night). I'd have to then do the special buttons push to toggle the battery and re-power it back on. I'd then notice that the battery percent was way low and looking at the batter usage history would show that something had the CPU pegged at 100%.
This would happen at random times in the middle of the night on random days. About 3 to 4 times a week.
I did a factory reset and stopped all updates and only allowed certain apps to be downloaded (like Netflix). Still happened.
I needed my phone to be accessible in the middle of the night for work purposes.
So I took my S6 Edge back to T-Mobile and talked them into allowing me to switch to the HTC M9. And I'm VERY happy about that switch. The HTC is a reliable phone. I know that the Edge has an extremely good camera and display. But I'm sorry. Anything which only works when IT wants to work is just a complete waste in my book. I know I could have risked getting another sent to me from the factory. But I'd seen quite a few other complaints of various different types of display freezes and such.
Someone accidentally sneezed "ship it!" and they THREW this product out for production before it was half baked.
So, I have a nice free Galaxy S6 Edge tech21 case if anyone wants it for free. Evo Frame Wallet. Reply here if interested.
