S6 Do not disturb question

On my S6 with "Do not disturb" on and "Alarms" on under Allow exceptions I still get the msg alert when I get a text msg. With the same settings on my S5 I dont.

Is there a difference in Do not disturb from the 5 to the 6? I want to use Do not disturb but it sucks if my phone beeps all night from text msgs.

I don't have that problem. The only notifications that come through are from my favorites. Do you have someone on your favorites list?

what messaging app are you using? DND mode only works on stock texting app by default

Mine works as intended. Something is wrong with OP's.

Works as intended. Shuts whatsapp and maildroid up as well. Only favourites go through.
