Well I checked for a system update and got one on my Verizon S6 edge. I thought cool, I'm getting 5.1.1!

No, after it rebooted I have G925VVRU2AOF1 5.0.2.

No idea what it does. Didn't give a list in the update window and haven't found a link to see what it fixed, but so much for the 5.1.1 update we were supposed to get. I'll try checking again later to see if it is a two part update like on the S5 when it went to 5.0.2.

I got excited there for awhile.

I received the update as well ; My UI lag is gone. I was having such bad UI lag that I gave up and ordered Moto X 2014 which is supposed to be delivered today ; but it looks like problem may have been solved.

I was thinking the exact same thing lol, I was so disappointed when I saw it was still 5.0.2... My girlfriends 2014 moto x Verizon got 5.1 last night and I was thinking wow same night for me too and than... 👎

More than likely more from the restart than the update.

I'm pretty optimistic though that we will get updates in a somewhat timely fashion. The phone is only a few months old and it has already gotten 2 updates. Mine has been working really well for the most part. I have had a few hiccups but nothing major.

Yup, day two and its slow as dog**** again. Daily restart still required.
My UI lag came back as well, and still horrendous stand by battery drain. I give up, going with the Moto X 2014, with the reduced price and trade in value Moto is basically paying me $50 to switch.

No 5.1.1 update yet. I did receive the smaller update from Verizon. I feel fortunate in that I haven't had any issues with my GS6 Edge other than the battery drain. I bought an Itian wireless charging cradle for my desk at work and one for home, too. They keep the battery charge topped off between uses. I would like to see more edge apps/functionality. Still, I like this phone a lot. Hoping that Verizon gets the 5.1.1 update out sooner rather than later.

This is the only thing this update was supposed to fix - It fixes a glitch with the software causing an error message to come up from the security.agent.login stating 'Unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart your phone to undo any unauthorized changes.' I had to replace my S6 Edge because of a screen malfunction and my replacement (surprisingly a new phone) gave me that error message every 5 minutes. Updating the software today got rid of it thankfully. There were a handful of people that were suffering from it, it was a bad batch of new phones that got sent out that were produced in June. Not useless for those that were suffering from it as it was really annoying. Happy to see they fixed it so quickly I only had to deal with it for a few days; I know some people had to deal with it for a few weeks. The 5.1.1 update shouldn't be too far behind it.
