Hello and thanks for reading as I'm getting desperate over here.
This is how it goes: I've had my S6 for almost 2 years now and I'm a power user. Never had any problems with the phone at all. Except for the last few months.
See, the phone started turning off at %40, %50 and even %60 battery. When I plugged it back in, it'd turn on with %0 on the indicator. I ignored it and it stopped happening for a while. A month ago, the problem returned, same thing happened everytime. But then, my phone started to be unresponsive to chargers and I had to place the cable on a certain position so it charged.
I decided to go back to my filthy iPhone 5S and left the S6 connected to my computer for like a week. Now the phone won't turn on and it won't charge. The wall charger doesn't heat up as it used to do indicating the phone is not receiving any charge.

Things I tried:
- Went to a Samsung store and got lent a wireless charger but phone didn't come back to life
- Change cable
- Change wall charger
- Clean the port with a toothpick and an old toothbrush
- Resetting the phone holding the power, home and volume down buttons
- Left it charging for days
- Tried charging on a PC
- Tried charging on a power bank

To sum up, my phone died and I've tried EVERYTHING I've found online. I don't expect you guys to have a magical solution but some help would be appreciated. I will take my phone to repair (not to Samsung) tomorrow, do you have any idea how much would it cost, depending on the piece that is defective?
Thanks

Welcome to Android Central.

I'm thinking a simple battery replacement will solve your problem. Battery was 2 years old and what you stated is an indication the battery was getting old. Should be within $100 or less to have it replaced.
