S6 keyboard jacked after updating on 8/17

[AC Question]

The Samsung keyboard keeps deactivating if I try to use an emoji. When I tried to an able a different keyboard, say swipe, as soon as I start to use it it shuts down and automatically shows that I'm using the Samsung keyboard when I go back into settings. It will not stay on the different keyboard app I've selected. This update has completely ruined my phone I can't even text anymore. Can anyone help me?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried clearing the Samsung Keyboard's app cache/data in the App Manager? Or wiping the system cache partition? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21095
