S6 Synced emails drop-out?

My S6 is synced with my laptop. When more than 1 email appears in notifications and I open the first one then close it after reading, the remainder disappear from view. How can I access the program/folder in which they're filed, and also be able to see historic emails which are also invisible to me. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! When you say your S6 is synced with your laptop, I assume you mean that you have your email account in the phone's Email app, with the same account in your laptop's Outlook program (or whichever email client you use), correct? (You don't actually sync the phone with the computer itself for email.)

If you open your Email app, you should be able to see all of the new emails, and you should be able to tell which ones are new and unread. Is that not the case?
