The problem still exists after a factory data reset? Usually Verizon will send you a warranty replacement once you have exhausted all the troubleshooting options.Verizon tech support recommended I do a factory reset. I tried everything: cleaning cache, different launchers.

If troubleshooting didn't work, the op might need to do an in store exchange.The,timing of an exchange might not work as the device is needed for an event tomorrow.
