Hello,
since 2 days my S7 has a battery crash.

When it is under 15% of battery, it goes to 1% in one minute and then goes
in auto turn off.
other examples:
- the battery goes from 10% to 5% in 20seconds.
- auto turn off at 13%.
if I try to turn on the phone, the battery is at 0%. I only have to charge it.

In the battery stats I see a vertical line of the battery at 15%.

Before to do a factory reset, someone knows this issue?
it has 1 year and 4 months of life.
Thank you in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! The battery might be deteriorating. You may have to bring it to a repair shop if it's no longer under warranty.

hello, thank you for your welcome.

The warranty will expire on next June 2018, so I have enough time.

I'm triyng to do the calibration of the battery as suggested on this same forum.

Yesterday the battery is crashed from 14% to 1% in few seconds. Then a notification prompted me to correct the anomalous consumption of an app (it was whatsapp). I correct it and the it is remained turned on for 2 hour and half (without using) at 1%. Then it goes in auto turn off.

This evening I see if it still have the problem.

Do you think a factory reset can help?

thank you

hello, an update.
without factory reset, without app.
On Monday, the battery is crashed from 14% to 1% in few seconds. Then a notification prompted me to correct the anomalous consumption of an app (it was whatsapp). I correct it and the it is remained turned on for 2 hour and half (without using) at 1%. Then it goes in auto turn off. Then I turned on and I wait that it goes in auto turn off. Then I plugged and I loaded battery to 100%. I think this procedure is called calibration.

The next days battery is not crashed, it has normal consumaption.
Today I will monitor what will happen.
thanks
