S7 device orientation bug - please help confirm!

Hello all,

I'm new to android central! I'm actually here to confirm a bug that annoys me on my Samsung Galaxy S7. It is about the Device Orientation.

When you launch the demo, you'll see a dice. Remember the original face and orientation of the dice, then shake your device and different directions and return to the original position. For usual phones (e.g. HTC 10, iPhone 6), the orientation of the dice should return to the initial state. However, on my S7, and a few other S7's it shows the correct face, but in a different direction. This is a major bug that affects games using device orientation.

Install GPS test and see if that fixes it.

Have you calibrated the gyro/compass?

I am not sure whether this has anything to do with my problem. It is more like a gyroscope / magnetic sensor / software problem. Do you experience the problem when you repeat the above steps?

Yes. Gyro selftest and Magnetic Sensor selftest both passed. Do you experience my problem when you run the demo?

Not always. Tried it once. Works fine. Leave the page and reopen, it may be ok, or maybe not. But doesn't matter anyway. I have no troubles with the phone working properly.

How about other people? Please try the demo to confirm. I am thinking whether I should go to the repair center for this matter. Thanks.
