Android Central Question

I bought this Phone (S7 Edge) 1.5 years ago. Yesterday (01/03/2018), I noticed that Back cover was a bit separated from the volume buttons side. The gap is gradually increasing. What could the possible reason of this? I Bought this phone from my hard earned money, never expected this from such a high end phone. Lost faith in Samsung brand. Please help me. what should i do now. I am from INDIA (M.P)

Perhaps the battery is failing and expanding as it does so?

If that is the trouble, it would not be limited to Samsung phones.

And if it IS swelling (I have a laptop battery at my desk that has done just this) I HIGHLY suggest suspending use of the device and turning it off. Charge/discharge will only make it worse and it can eventually fail in a spectacular manner at a most inopportune time. Even if the time isn't inopportune, the gases released can be harmful. These batteries are similar in chemistry to those used in MacBook laptops (Pro, Air and the 12"), in order to be certified to repair them you have to pass a battery safety course without missing a single question on these types of topics.

Myself and some of my friends have had exact same issue on phones of similar age.

All took them back to Samsung for warranty repair.

They didn't necessarily confirm battery swelling, but they did confirm some issues with the glue used to keep the back on.

I Visited Samsung Customer care. They checked the phone and told me that the problem is with the Battery. It is SWELLING. So at last they replaced it with a new battery (Total charge for battery replacement was 2200 INR). When I took the phone back and before leaving the customer care I asked them to show me the old battery. Old battery was looking perfectly fine. It wasn't swelled from anywhere. When I asked them that the battery was looking normal they told me some non sense reasons...... Finally I realized that issue was not with the Battery, it was with the GLUE that they use to seal the back cover. I think that the Glue was expanding becoz of HEAT.
