S7 edge Battery life

I did what you said. Cleared the cache. Then did the recovery mode. It jumped into "installing update" but then it failed and a asked me if I wanted to boot the phone normally.

Installing update? Was that after you enter to recovery menu and did the Clear Cache partition or you never got to the Recovery menu? If you couldn't enter to recovery menu, just give ti another try, if you press Home and Volume Up buttons first and keep them pressed while pressing and hold the Power button for a couple of seconds at least, it should enter the Recovery Menu.

I have cleared the cache partition yesterday and it was still draining for no reason and did it again today. Will see if it'll hold up after I charge my phone.

Update on my battery life. Best results so far. Whole day with 23% left and was about to easily pass 6 hours screen on time if I wasn't going to bed. This is on my s7 edge.

It is good, iPhone 6+ was about 2 hours better SoT. I'd rather have my Samsung though.

I can also say that my S7 Edge started draining a lot faster for the last few days. No new apps were installed, nothing changed or nothing unusual happening, it just drains faster.

Yeah I tried the clearing cache partition. It worked for a couple of days and now the issue is back again. Battery draining faster and Android system taking up most of the battery

I'm a bit disappointed in the battery life. Do you use Power Saving mode? It seems more aggressive than my S4, like Pandora will not play the next song, it will just stop at the end of the current song when in S7E's Power Saving mode.

My SOT is only 4.5 hours and tons of System usage. Any tips how to reduce system usage? I've been using the phone lightly the last few days.

The Android Central app lets me select multiple attachments but only posted the last one, so here are the other screenshots. Overnight the phone was in airplane mode. During the day I'm on LTE, at night WiFi at home.

Had no problems with my battery life. This thing lasts forever heavy usage and still getting 1 day 15 hours plus out of one charge. Also this is the only device I haven't wanted to root straight away and don't think I will.

If your disappointment is seeing the Android System at the top, then relax a little, it seems that you won't get rid of that unless something changes with a new OS Update. If what it has been told it's true the High Android System shown is because of some processes running with the Snapdragon 820 chipset, people with Exynos version are not getting this, but basically most people with the US variant and the SD820 have the "issue".

Please note I mentioned "issue" because knowing that it's not an app or a phone problem you have to see it as it is, nothing that you can do about it, and even with that (it's the first time I have a phone with similar behavior) I still get the best battery life I've got on a phone, averaging 7 hours of SOT since I got it on March 11. Your SOT even when it's a lot less than mine doesn't mean it's bad, everything depends on individual usage.

I am not really seeing an issue. 1day + on battery with almost 5 hours of SoT seems pretty reasonable.

Hi All,

Have the S7 Edge here as well. Noticed last night a 22% drop in my battery. Nothing running, face down. Over the last few days I have noticed that the battery is draining quick. I turn phone off at night and charge. During the night I unplug the phone when I see the green indicator light, showing that it is fully charged. When I turn it on in the morning, it takes less than 2 mins to drop to 99%.

What is going on with this battery!?!?
